John 14:6
6 Jesus answered, “I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me. God is the Creator. He created everything in the world and gave everything a purpose. Everything in the world that has life received that life from God. In the winter the trees seem to die, but in the summer flowers start to bloom and the trees start bearing fruit. Inside the fruit are seeds from which new trees can grow. Animals, birds and fish all try hard to look for food and water in order to live. People also try hard to live - people immigrate to other countries, and people try to develop current technology more and more. People work tirelessly to live better lives and to be wealthy. But material things are only temporary, and they are not able to give life to our souls. Our bodies can only live on physical food and drink for 70-80 years, but our souls can live forever with the life of Jesus Christ. The Bible says that man cannot live on bread alone (Mat 4:3-4). So Jesus came to the earth in human likeness in order to give life to our souls (John 6:26-27, John 6:32-33). But many people are not aware that they have souls, and they live only for their physical bodies. After they die their bodies return to the ground, and all their efforts had been in vain. But Jesus Christ has given us eternal life (John 6:47-51, John 6:53-58), so we should live for our souls. Do you have the spiritual food and eternal life from Jesus (John 10:7-15)? The one who has received eternal life from him is the most successful person in the world. We cannot get eternal life anywhere in this world. Dear brothers and sisters, the one who doesn’t have Jesus doesn’t have life and they are to be pitied. For us to be able to live forever we need Jesus. Those who live in sin, are sick, and are in pain can solve all their problems through Jesus. Those who have received life from Jesus can live in happiness. Let’s be set free!
