Deuteronomy 5:7~10
God is the Owner of everything. God gave life to everything He created to make them live individually. Because everything was created in the time limit which God has set for each that they will someday disappear. Therefore, we, our ancestors, and everyone live within the time limit that God set and will eventually die (Psalms 90:10~11; Hebrews 9:27).
God formed the man from the dust of the ground (Genesis 2:7); for dust man is and to dust man will return (Genesis 3:19). But the eternal living soul, created after God formed the man from the dust of the ground and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life, must go to heaven or hell, one or the other, on the day the body returns to dust. Man is composed of body and soul; the body has the time limit to live, but the soul is an eternal being.
Under sin, man is a desperate being which cannot avoid the punishment of eternal fire by the wages of sin with the devil making him to commit sins (1 John 3:8; Matthew 25:41; Revelation 20:10). However, God sent His Son, Jesus Christ, to the world and paid back the wage of sin by making him take up our sin which makes people suffer eternally in hell after death and He shed His blood on the cross. Therefore, whoever believes this and is redeemed by repentance will be saved from suffering in hell and live in heaven where they can enjoy happiness that cannot be expressed in any human language. We have the body to make the days of our souls to be days of eternal happiness and glory by the faith we believe in Jesus Christ.
We are going to either heaven or hell when our body dies. If you are redeemed by the blood of Jesus who died for your sin, then you go to heaven. But if you are still under sin, then you should go to hell (Luke Chapter 16).
However, worldly people don’t know this. So our ancestors laid down their souls to their descendants and they take care of their ancestors by offering sacrifices.
This is the work of demons using ignorant humans under the disguise of moral laws of family relationships (1 Corinthians 10:20~22). Demons are only enemies of people they serve, leading those people into hell. Therefore, a sacrifice offering is worshiping demons and worshiping demons is idol worship; idol worship curses the children for the sin of the fathers to the third and fourth generation (Deuteronomy 5:7~10). But God said that He would show love to a thousand generations of those who love Him and keep His commandments.
Please do not be captured and sent to hell by demons which hunt your soul during the Chusoek holiday. Being saved by Jesus Christ from the hands of demons, sin, death and hell is the best harvest. Owning blissful happiness in heaven forever is the best harvest. So let us give thanks to God, offering as much as the life of the Lord. Let’s be grateful. Let us receive blessings to a thousand generations by serving God alone who gave us grace and enable our descendants enjoy this blessing.
