John 3:8

God loved all the people on the earth. Every person has committed sin because of temptation from the devil, the enemy of God. By the wages of their sin, they were destined to face eternal pain in both body and soul. They never found out where their physical and spiritual pains come from. They did not know the eternal pain to come. They just accepted the pain as destiny or fate being captured by miseries all their lives. Right after life’s end, they have to suffer eternal miseries in hell that no one could ever endure. All that pain was created by the devil and sin that results physical and spiritual pain. It is too horrendous, even imaging it is painful. People never realize this. Even the first man, Adam, was deceived by the devil and committed sin. As a result, all his descendants became sinners and have to face eternal pain without knowing (Romans 5:12).

However, Jesus Christ understood our pain and resolved it. In other words, the devil made us commit sin. We never knew the eternal punishment as a result of sin. Only Jesus understood and resolved it. Therefore, only Jesus Christ is our savior. He is the absolute life and the only source of happiness. Only he can offer us an eternal future. What if Jesus did not carry out his practice for resolving our pain? If Jesus only understood our pain and did not resolve it, we would have got no help from him. But, God sent Jesus Christ to the world and crucified him in order to give happiness us who lived under the devil and sin. We should give thanks to God. We mustn’t even spare our lives for him because of that gratitude (John 3:16; 1 John 3:8; Hebrews 2:14-15; Mark 10:45). It is our consciousness of faith and our response to his grace.

God taught Adam not to eat the forbidden fruit with love. The devil made him disbelieve God’s word. He deceived Adam saying that he would be like God to make them eat the fruit. Right after he eat it, he became a sinner and belonged to the devil. They became ruled by and suffered by the devil. They were dragged to hell and endured unbearable pain. Only Jesus Christ can resolve our pain, resulting from sin. Jesus came down to the world and resolved all our pain though he died on the Cross (Philippians 2:5-8). God is the word. He is spirit. Jesus, the Son of God, became flesh and came to the world to bear all our sin and removed the wages of our sin, death and hell (Mark 1:21-23). It was the love and grace of God and was the real meaning of Christmas. We should not spare anything for God who gave us that grace. If you have possessed the grace, you should become a slave to His grace and love. Dear Saints, Christmas is not a day for enjoying earthly pleasure. Jesus came to world to be crucified and save us (John 1:29). Let’s praise God. Let’s thank to Him with offering. Let’s express our true gratitude for his limitless grace.
