Acts 7:51-60
God is love. The reason why He loves man without any limitations is not because we are lovely but because we were going to perish. “"For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life.” John 3:16. God, however, had mercy on us by sending His one and only Son, Jesus Christ to die for us. This is evangelism without any limits - it is the heart of God for saving us, and the life of Jesus Christ and the passion for winning souls. Even though God limited His Son’s prayer He didn’t limit his grace to save us. It is very important how much you are moved when you see dying souls. God was deeply moved even to the point of giving His only begotten Son as a ransom and so was His Son.
The apostle Paul said "For who has known the mind of the Lord that he may instruct him?" But we have the mind of Christ.” 1 Corinthians 2:16. What is evangelism? It is the whole measure of love that God has taken compassion on us and all the accompanying deeds: God sacrificed His one and only Son to open the new way for us to live and He sent the Holy Spirit and built churches and sent the servants of the Lord and evangelists for us to escape death. God Himself came to this world in the flesh to be despised and humiliated, and for the blame to be put on Him, and finally He died and shed His blood for us. It is the expression of love done by God and the completion of evangelism by Him shedding His blood.
Sadly, today’s evangelism has been restricted by the complacency of our flesh and worldly thinking. Unimaginably, we are so indifferent to dying souls. Nothing we do, even dying for the gospel, can compare to the death of the Son of God on the cross. Jesus accomplished this amazing grace for our salvation but we human beings don’t know this grace and we degrade it. How terrible it is! God has sent the Holy Spirit and built churches to deliver this message with an agonised heart. The book of Acts shows you evangelism without any limits. Paul, Philip and Stephen didn’t limit to tell the truth of Jesus Christ.
Dear brothers and sisters! Don’t be limited to save your neighbor’s souls! This is the work of God, churches and the children of God. This is the only way to win dying souls.
