Our faith gives us rights. Our faith gives us the right to use everything the Lord has prepared for us. Those who believe that Jesus was struck with a whip have the right to be cured of disease. We have the right that our sins are forgiven by our faith because Jesus shed blood for us. Jesus told us to pray in the name of Jesus so we who pray by believing in the word have the right to be given the answer. We have to enjoy our rights with confidence.
If you don’t use the rights given by God, you are really foolish. Who can acknowledge you if you say “I believe in Jesus.” when you don’t use the rights?
In Mark 9, a man brought Jesus his son, who was possessed by a demon. He said, “If you can do anything, take pity on us and help us.”(Mark 9:22) Then Jesus rebuked him for his unbelief, saying, “If you can? Everything is possible for him who believes.”(Mark 9:23) That means Jesus can’t work in the impossibility of human beings as long as they don’t acknowledge that Jesus can do anything.
The boy’s father exclaimed, “I do believe; help me overcome my unbelief!”(Mark 9:24) Then Jesus healed his son. We must acknowledge that Jesus is as almighty as much as he works for us.
Those who have faith can enjoy Jesus’ name to their heart’s content. Jesus’ name can wash away our sins and deliver us out of the impossibility. We must trust and acknowledge him as much as he can do.
There is a hymn, singing, “Heavenly peace divinest comfort, here by faith in him to dwell.” If we don’t live by faith, we can’t be comforted by God. We can’t have any faith just while coming and going to the church. Jesus is our share and right, which are so precious, not comparable to the money and fame of this world.
