The Bible says, "Catch for us the foxes, the little foxes that ruin the vineyards,

our vineyards that are in bloom." (Song of Songs 2:15). When I was young,

there used to be lots of foxes in my village. When night came they came down

to the village and would catch rabbits and piglets. Foxes have such a peculiar

cry that it was easy for the villages to hear and catch them.

When we lead our faith lives, we must remove the foxes from our hearts.

The sound of foxes crying can be compared to people who try to reveal their

own righteousness. God is not pleased with such people, so we must find how

we are similar to foxes.

In addition, foxes have a habit of looking back. Even though we are the children

of God, we look back to the past, but we must not. Our eyes must be upon God

and our steps must be made forward. Also, foxes like rotten meat. They dig up

graves with dead bodies. Christians must not seek the corrupted world.

We must pursue the crown that will last forever.

Foxes have a tendency to change frequently. For this reason, in Korea there is

a saying, "A fox will even change itself into a human form." Even though we pray,

we enjoy gossiping. Whenever we should evangelize, we don’t and also our

attitude changes from moment to moment. We must stick to our faith.

Jesus said to Peter, "I tell you the truth, this very night, before the rooster crows,

you will disown me three times." But Peter boasted, "Even if I have to die with you,

I will never disown you." But Peter disowned Him three times when he feared his

own death. We should not be a person who has regrets, but a person who is

faithful with a consistent faith without regrets.
