Matthew 4:17, Mark 1:35~39

“From that time on Jesus began to preach, ‘Repent, for the kingdom of heaven is near. ’” (Matthew 4:17) “Very early in the morning, while it was still dark, Jesus got up, left the house and went off to a solitary place, where he prayed. Simon and his companions went to look for him, and when they found him, they exclaimed: "Everyone is looking for you!" Jesus replied, "Let us go somewhere else - to the nearby villages - so I can preach there also. That is why I have come." So he traveled throughout Galilee, preaching in their synagogues and driving out demons.” (Mark 1:35) God is the Creator. He gave man all things He had made on this earth and let man rule over and use them. But only one thing was not allowed. He said to the man, "You must not eat from the tree of the knowledge of good and evil, for when you eat of it you will surely die." Then, the serpent, the devil, said to the woman and deceived her, "When you eat of it, your eyes will be opened and you will be like God, knowing good and evil." The woman wanted to be like God, so she ate it, and she also gave some to her husband, Adam, and he ate it. As a result, death surely came to them according to God's word. Their sin of disobedience led to death. Through this original sin, all mankind who are the descendents of Adam are under sin and are doomed to punishment in the fiery hell. God called to Adam, "Where are you? Why did you eat that which I said not to eat?" But Adam didn't repent and only tried to make an excuse. God calls and looks for the sinner who is perishing to let him realize his sin before God and be saved from it forever. The reason why Jesus Christ came into this world in the flesh was to take man's sin instead of him, to die on the cross as the worst sinner and to save man from death, which is the wages of sin, as God had said. It is the evangelism of God for us. God looks for those who don't know this amazing fact to the ends of the earth and to the end of the age (Matthew 28:18~20, Acts1~8). The purpose of the Lord coming to this earth was to preach the Gospel for the salvation of man (Mark 1:38-39). The purpose of Him making disciples, planting churches and sending the Holy Spirit also was to evangelize many dying souls. Even though right after Jesus died, His disciples denied Him; after the Holy Spirit came on them, they preached Jesus Christ by the Holy Spirit to those who had killed Him and to other residents of Jerusalem, and three or five thousand people were saved through repentance in one day. Only the Holy Spirit knows the mind of Jesus Christ and He used the disciples to preach Jesus Christ. The one who preaches the Gospel knows God's mind which killed His one and only Son on the cross. The one who evangelizes knows Jesus Christ's mind, who died on the cross like a sinner to fulfill the will of God, His Father. He also knows the mind of the Holy Spirit, who is eager to preach the Gospel over all the earth and to save all to the last man. Therefore, an evangelist is the one who works with the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit - the Trinity - and join in their great mission. The working of the Trinity is evangelism. "Where are you, Adam? Where are you, Cain? Repent, for the kingdom of heaven is near. Believe in the working of Jesus' blood and be saved. Hell is unbearable. You can never bear the pain in hell. Let's believe in Jesus Christ, go to heaven together and be happy forever!" Let our lives be full of evangelism. Let's determine to rescue many unbelievers, who are under sin, from hell. This is the will of the Lord and our holy duty.
