Preach the Good News to All Creation

Mark 16:14~20

14 Later Jesus appeared to the Eleven as they were eating; he rebuked them for their lack of faith and their stubborn refusal to believe those who had seen him after he had risen. 15 He said to them, “Go into all the world and preach the gospel to all creation. 16 Whoever believes and is baptized will be saved, but whoever does not believe will be condemned. 17 And these signs will accompany those who believe: In my name they will drive out demons; they will speak in new tongues; 18 they will pick up snakes with their hands; and when they drink deadly poison, it will not hurt them at all; they will place their hands on sick people, and they will get well.” 19 After the Lord Jesus had spoken to them, he was taken up into heaven and he sat at the right hand of God. 20 Then the disciples went out and preached everywhere, and the Lord worked with them and confirmed his word by the signs that accompanied it. Man committed sin and was destined to go to hell. But God is love, so He sent His only Son, Jesus Christ, to take up our sins and to die on the cross by shedding His blood for us. Those who believe in Him will be freed from sin, curses and hell (Isaiah 53:5~6). Many people don’t know about his fact and they think that death is the end of their lives. They don’t know about the suffering they will face in hell. Therefore Jesus commanded us to preach the Gospel to all creation (Mark 16:15). People can only believe the Gospel if they hear it, for faith comes by hearing (Romans 10:8~10, 13~17). If people never hear that Jesus had already paid for their sins, it is really tragic. The reason Jesus called the disciples was because He didn’t want even one single person to perish. He sent the Holy Spirit to testify about Him by doing signs and wonders. Jesus' passion for winning souls is the same yesterday and today and forever (Hebrews 13:8). Even today the Lord dwells in us and confirms His words that He is with us by the signs that accompany those who believe (1 John 3:24, Mark 16:20) - demons are driven out, the sick are healed, the lame walk, and the dead are raised. This is the evidence that He is always with us, just as He had been with the disciples (Acts 3:6~10, Acts 9:32~37, 40~42, Acts 5:12~16). Therefore when those who win souls trust the command of the Lord just as it is and act on it, they can do the same ministry that the Lord had done. The Lord said anyone who has faith in Him will do what He had done (John 14:12). For this reason, there is only one ministry that church has to do – evangelism. All the work of the church is only about winning souls. Evangelism is our best inheritance. If you don't evangelize, it means that you just look on dying souls, allowing them to perish. That is sinful, selfish and cruel. Dear brothers and sisters, unless you preach the working of Jesus' blood to them, they will definitely go to hell. Let us evangelize and save those who are perishing.
