When the Master Comes

Mark 25:14-30

God is the Creator and Lord of everything on earth. He plants everything and raises it with love in order to reap fruits on the Last Day (Psalm 100:3). All humans will face judgment on the Last Day. When Jesus returns, everyone will be judged according to what they’ve done. No one can avoid nor complain about it for God judges without mistake. At that time, the wheat will be put in the barn and the chaff will be burned in the unquenchable fire (Mark 3:12).

The Last Day when Jesus returns to the world will be like the day of harvest. Everything that entire human race has done will be uncovered and laid bare before the Lord (Hebrews 4:13). If we didn’t work for God even after being sanctified by repentance, we will suffer loss. We have to take responsibility of our own life for we reap as we sow (1 Corinthians 3:15). We are servants of God who have been entrusted with His secret things. Anyone who received trust must prove faithful (1Corinthians 4:1-2). We should not live for bodily comfort but for preparing the time of soul. Labor for the time of soul looks unproductive because it gives no comfort to your body, but it produces inheritance for your time of soul. The Creator commanded us to be faithful even to the point of death (Revelation 2:14) in order to gain reward according to what we have done (Matthew 25:14-30).

The world has great knowledge that influences us only during our days on earth. It is limited and temporary. It changes quickly indicating that the world never lasts eternally (2 Peter 3:8-13). The Bible has knowledge that world cannot understand. The world does not try to understand it because they do not see value in it, but it is filled with truth and lasts eternally. Paul considered His outstanding knowledge of the world as rubbish after knowing Christ and the truth (Philippians 3:8).

Worldly people fail by not having the truth. Even Christians fail by not believing it or by not putting them into practice. Though years pass and the body gets old, our work shall grow in the days. God rewards us with justice according to what we’ve done. (Matthey 16:27). On the Last Day, five virgins of the ten virgins failed severely. We shall make benefit in the day on earth. The one who lives longer will produce more benefit. Our mission is like talent. So we shall make much work. On the Last Day, lies will be uncovered as lies and the laziness as laziness. Sin will be uncovered as sin and righteousness as righteousness. The year’s closing is the closing of one year’s life. Aren’t you shameful before God? Don’t let this year result in a rebuke or curse. Don’t cause your Last Day to be fearful. The truth and lies will be uncovered as will laziness and diligence. God makes no mistake. God told us to use all our strength and all our life for the glory in the Last Day.

Dear brothers and sisters, we shall work for God in the day of flesh so that we can produce a masterpiece of glory in heaven. Please let God be pleased and give your soul joy. That’s spiritual knowledge. Please participate to your master’s happiness. We shall not be kicked out into the darkness and weep. Lord! Please bless our congregation’s faith. Please let them work for the days of their soul! Please let them receive your complement when you return.
