[Shepherding the Sheep with One Heart] Salvation by the Righteousness of God

God is almighty as He knows everything and can do anything. God is righteous so He didn’t say, “Let’s just pretend that they are not guilty.” He used His absolute power and authority to save humankind from their sins.

God sent His Son, Jesus Christ, who was innocent to die for His people, shedding His blood on the Cross and taking up the sin that we committed, saving the people lawfully. This is the righteousness of God. The President may spare a prisoner on death row by their authority. But, if the President does, some people don’t agree with it.

There will be people who strongly oppose the decision, saying “He deserves to die by the wages of his crime. Why did you spare him?” If a person raises an objection, it can’t be wholly righteous.

The President has the authority to pardon a prisoner on death row. God is omnipotent so He can absolve the sins of all people. But, to die for the wages of sin is the Law appointed by God. (Genesis 2:17, Romans 6:23)
God is just so He doesn’t use His authority to violate His own Law.

Thanks to God, we are saved. By God’s righteousness, there is providence to save people, legal treatment for the sick and atonement for sin and salvation. God surely keeps the law and doesn’t change the words that He spoke. That’s why we can believe in God and He is our salvation, treatment, and power to forgive our sins.

“But he was pierced for our transgressions, he was crushed for our iniquities; the punishment that brought us peace was upon him, and by his wounds we are healed. We all, like sheep, have gone astray, each of us has turned to his own way; and the Lord has laid on him the iniquity of us all.”(Isaiah 53:5-6)
