The Gospel that is preached at the risk of one’s life

I have been to the house where Paul was born in Turkey.
There is a memorial hall 1km from the house.
They reproduced the scene where Paul died for his faith in Rome.
A Roman soldier beheaded Paul with a sword and then put his head on a stone post.

I walked along the road that Paul was sent to Rome tied up with rope.

Why did Paul come to Rome even though it was inevitable for him to be killed?
I involuntarily broke down in tears.

Paul had been flogged and suffered in prison. He had been in danger from rivers,
in danger from bandits, in danger from his own country, in danger from Gentiles,
in danger in the country. He wanted eagerly to preach gospel to the Gentiles in Rome.

That’s why he came back to Jerusalem.
In the end, he was sent to Rome and he was persecuted and killed.

"However, I consider my life worth nothing to me, if only I may finish the race and
complete the task the Lord Jesus has given me- the task of testifying to the gospel."
(Acts 20:24).

I couldn’t help crying when I thought about the Paul’s life asking myself,
“What have I done by now?” and thinking about big change in the world because of
the gospel that Paul preached.

Today, since there are internet and satellites, the world gets closer.
It’s a very good time to preach the gospel. We have to try to preach gospel with
the mind of disciples and Paul’s mind by receiving the power of the Holy Spirit.
Oh, Lord! Let me have the mind of Paul and follow the way of the gospel.

Like the gospel that Paul preached has come to me, grant me, who is unworthy
and foolish, the mind of Jesus so that I may preach gospel of Jesus all my life.
Let the gospel flow into the world and become life to win souls through me.
