Before Jesus came to the earth, no one could be free from original sin
leading humans to death by the sin that Adam committed. However, Jesus
died on the cruel cross on behalf of us who can’t flee from eternal
punishment in hell and made atonement for our sins. Jesus, the King
gave up His life for us.
For the wages of sin is death (Romans 6:23),
to escape death, somebody who hasn’t committed a sin should pay for
the wages of sin. As a debtor who owes 10 million won should make payment
of 10 million won in order to be free from the debt, Jesus died instead
of us and paid the wages of our sins so that we can be free. That is
why we are free from sin and have the right to live.
Likewise, Jesus, the King gave himself up to us and let us be free legally. Since Jesus
died for us, he is legally the King who has saved us and has legally
regained us life. Therefore, nobody can say that we are sinners or
unrighteous. Jesus, the King, didn’t come to be a king of the world
by dethroning King Herod.
He had mercy on people who are bound by sin
and destroyed diseases in humans by atoning for our sins. He has made
us his people, while driving out demons, letting the demon-possessed man
free, solving impossibilities, and saving us from death and doom in hell.
Jesus is the King of victory who beat the demons and is our Savior who has
granted us heaven where is full of happiness forever. Christmas is the day
when we give thanks to Jesus Christ who came to the earth as the King and
worship Him with praise.
