Jesus Christ was whipped, punished, and bled on the cross for us by taking up our diseases, curses, and sins instead of us. Despite being innocent, He, who is the Son of God, suffered intentionally to take away our diseases, curses and sins. The reality that killed Jesus in suffering through the Jews is the devil, who holds the power of death and makes people commit sin. The Jews were used by the devil as an instrument of wickedness.
However, Jesus Christ was raised from the dead three days after His death. The resurrection of the dead was an unheard of event in the entire world. Jesus Christ was innocent so He didn’t need to die, but he died for the atonement of the sin of all humankind. The resurrection of Jesus Christ is the convincing proof that he was innocent.
On the contrary, the moment that Jesus Christ resurrected, the devil which killed Jesus who was innocent, was proved to be a wrongdoer and has gone into eternal punishment. Jesus Christ came in the flesh to destroy the devil which holds the power of death and to save His people while paying lawfully for the wages of sin, curses and diseases.
Through the death and the resurrection of Jesus Christ, we are free from sin, curses and diseases by the devil’s work. This is the faith of resurrection. The faith of resurrection is to believe in the name of Jesus who brought salvation to all mankind. Now we are empowered by the name of Jesus to judge the devil and drive him out eternally since the devil tempted humans to eat from the tree of knowledge of good and evil and tried to enslave us and to take us to eternal hell, and killed Jesus who was innocent.
The faith of resurrection is the power to beat sin, diseases and death in this world and is the blessing of eternal life that lives in a spiritual body forever with the Lord in heaven.
