A servant of God is used and blessed by God. A slave is used notably according to the will of their master. The slave doesn't have their own property and freedom, even their life isn't their own. When we say, "A slave of God", that means they don't have any possessions. It's just as Jesus' disciples followed Jesus and deserted their possessions when Jesus called them.
You are God's own no matter how you assert to be yours. Even Jesus didn't live according to His will when He came to the earth. He lived the life of a slave by giving up His body as a consumable item for humans just as God the Father in heaven is pleased.
“Your attitude should be the same as that of Christ Jesus; Who, being in very nature God, did not consider equality with God something to be grasped, but made himself nothing, taking the very nature of a slave, being made in human likeness. And being found in appearance as a man, he humbled himself and became obedient to death- even death on a cross!" (Philippians 2:5~8)
We should also hope to be used for the work of God as a consumable item as the Lord is pleased. Anyway, our life is consumed. Should we waste our life away on money, honor and worldly desire? We must get the most out of life by being used to fulfill the will of God if life is destined to be consumed.
If you want to be used by God, you should defeat the enemy who stops you following the way of righteousness and faith in your life. God doesn't use those who insist their life is their own. Since our life is God's, we have to lay ourselves down without hesitating when He wants to use us and let God use us with delight.
