Acts 16:31-32

God is the source of all blessing. He has been blessing man physically and spiritually without limitation since creation. He gave us everything in the world for our bodies, and the Word of God and our Savior Jesus Christ for our souls. What is the eternal blessing that man can enjoy? To know God and to live by His Word and Jesus Christ. The household living by God's grace is blessed with eternal life and heaven, our eternal inheritance. We will be blessed from generation to generation. Jacob, the son of Isaac, really longed for the everlasting blessing from God ever since he was in his mother's womb. He was born as the second child of twins but he wanted to be blessed as the first. So Jacob bought the birthright of his brother, Esau, with some lentil stew and bread. He also prepared his father’s favorite food for him in order to receive Esau’s blessing. But when Esau found out, he was angry enough to kill him, so Jacob fled to his uncle Laban’s house. God blessed Jacob in his uncle's house. He married Leah and Rachel, his uncle's daughters, and became very wealthy. When he went back home, God was with him and saved his life from his brother's hand. Jacob earnestly prayed to God and God changed his name to 'Israel'. It means “the overcomer of God”. Since then, the children of Israel has been living in the Middle East as overcomers (Gen 25:19~33:20) because the blessing of ancestors is inherited to their descendants (Deut 30:19-20). There is unlimited freedom, peace, eternal life and heaven to those who believe in Jesus Christ. All kinds of sin, curses, disease, death and hell were destroyed because of Jesus Christ. He took our sin, died on the cross instead of us and rose again from the dead in three days. Jesus Christ is the blessing of all blessings. Those who believe in him can have all His authority, and everything will be possible for them (Mark 9:23). In the Name of Jesus Christ, Peter and John made a man crippled from birth, walk. Everyone was astonished and they stared at them. But Peter said to them, "Jesus Christ, the author of life, did this!"(Acts 3:11~16). After that, Jesus' disciples healed many sick people in His name. Likewise, Jesus Christ is our life. He always provides His abundant blessings. Therefore, even if there is only one person in a family who believes in Jesus, God’s blessing can be inherited by their future generations. It is eternal blessing to be able to rule in this world and the next. All parents in the world love their children. They hope for them to inherit their own good reputation and wealth and to live well. But parents who believe in Jesus Christ want their children to inherit eternal life, heaven and faith. That's spiritual blessing. And children who believe in Jesus Christ should make their parents believe in Him and let them be saved from hell, by the working of the precious blood of Jesus Christ. There is no greater love and filial duty than this. The most miserable man in the world is the one who doesn't know Jesus Christ and goes to hell. Let's thank God, Our Savior, because we know Him. Let's serve Jesus Christ together with our whole household and live in guaranteed happiness physically and spiritually for the time of soul.
