Deuteronomy 5:6-10

God loves His people. He is the Savior who can save His people, no matter what their circumstances are. He has given us all things in heaven and on earth for our flesh, and He has saved our souls by the death of His only begotten Son - so He is our source of life and our provider (John 6:53-55, Gen. 1:27-29). He knew everything when His people were mistreated by the Egyptians in Egypt, and He saved them. He is the only one who saved them from the land of slavery (Ex. 1:13-17). The Israelites had been driven hard to work day and night. At this time they didn’t know God, but He heard their cries. The Israelites had started serving the thousands of gods of Egypt, and they cried out to those gods to save them, but they couldn’t. Instead they only continued suffering as if they were in a smelting furnace. But God looked after His people and He redeemed them from the Pharaoh’s oppression through Moses. God is our only protector and He is almighty in battle. He led the Israelites out of the land of slavery and he fed them and gave them water in the desert for 40 years. The Israelites had received the amazing grace of God (Deut. 8:2-4). But they disregarded God by returning to their habit of idolatry as they had done in Egypt. But God told them, “I am the LORD your God, who brought you out of Egypt, out of the land of slavery.” And He gave them the Ten Commandments. We human beings received this grace all against hope, that's why we should worship and serve only Him. But if we forsake Him and worship other gods, He brings curses upon us to the third or fourth generation. Think about this seriously - you've received grace from God but you have served other gods, how indignant God will be because of you! We have lived by God’s provision for our bodies and we also have redemption by the working of the blood of His Only Son. Nevertheless if we ignore God by committing idolatry how can we bear with the curses to the third and fourth generation? The devil, Satan and demons always make us sin and kill us both physically and spiritually, for the wages of sin is death. They are the eternal enemies of man and God "Since the children have flesh and blood, he too shared in their humanity so that by his death he might destroy him who holds the power of death--that is, the devil-- and free those who all their lives were held in slavery by their fear of death." Heb 2:14-15. They always deceive us in order to receive worship from us, claiming they can give us blessing. In Korea they have even disguised themselves as our dead parents in order to receive worship from us during traditional ceremonies. How terrible they are! (1 Cor. 10:18-22) We should drive out this unseen evil from our families. But we humans can't cast them out, so Jesus has given us His powerful name, for they are only afraid of His name (Mark 16:17-18, Mark 1:39). Dear brothers and sisters! Do not forget the grace of God! Do not be idolaters! This is the working of the devil and demons. Please never be deceived by them! Let us only serve God, for He is the only one who has given us blessings from generation to generation! Let us inherit the blessings to our descendants like Abraham. It depends on us whether we have blessings to the thousandth generation or curses to the third or fourth!
