John 1:29
"The next day John saw Jesus coming toward him and said, "Look, the Lamb of God, who takes away the sin of the world!"
Jesus Christ came in flesh to die, taking up our sin which brings destruction to humans. However we don’t know the will and the purpose of Jesus' coming to earth so seek to gratify the desires of sinful nature; making curses; destruction; building up the Tower of Babel of materials regardless of age. Jesus had pity on people so He came to solve all our burdens and to give us holy and eternal rest. He came to die instead of us and chose to live in Nazareth which was a lowly town. (Mark 10:45)
The world is eternally hopeless. Jesus, as the priest, became the lamb which bled as the sacrifice for atonement for those who repent of their sin. It fulfilled the prophecy of the prophets. Jesus took up the cross, which was the punishment for the worst sinners, as the sacrifice to forgive our sins. Golgotha was where sinners were crucified. It is not just that the righteous Son of God was punished on the cross at Golgotha. Who could understand that the Son of God should die instead of us in order to save us? Jesus Christ came to die instead of us. Jesus Christ transferred us from destruction as the result of sin, to freedom and eternal life. This is the purpose of Jesus coming in flesh. We can be happy at Christmas as Jesus Christ suffered on the cross to set us free.
Then who could tramples down Christmas, the salvation of life? Who has changed Christmas of salvation into humanism? Who is using Christmas commercially? Who changes Christmas that Jesus came in flesh to die into corruption for gratifying the desires of sinful nature? Who will correct the misunderstanding which is prevailing over the world about Christmas? You and I should make clear the purpose of Jesus' coming to the earth to correct the misunderstanding about Christmas. First of all, we should surely see our sin which Jesus Christ came to the earth and bled to die for us. We should see the flesh that Jesus took up our sin and suffered. We should see Jesus' flesh which was flogged and crushed taking up our disease. We should see the heart of the Lord who loves man, sacrificing His Son to save us who were doomed to perish. We should be free from sin, curses and diseases. We should greet Christmas experiencing the real work of Jesus. We have salvation that we can enjoy forever because of the suffering of Jesus in the flesh. We are free forever from destruction and hell. We have health that the Lord gave us by His wounds. Those who have real experience of the holy birth of Jesus Christ will have only gratitude and glory. Therefore the birth of Jesus Christ is suffering and death for Him, and to us freedom and life that we can enjoy forever. Christmas is that Jesus Christ came in flesh becoming our hope and dream. It became life for those who want to live forever.
Dear brothers and sisters, Look, how the world greets the birth of Jesus. Do not look on the work of the devil who tries to destroy Christmas. Have Christmas with the true purpose of Jesus' coming. Look to the suffering in the flesh of Jesus and have it as your holy inheritance. Be free from sin, curses and the hands of evil spirits. Let Christmas be eternal. (Isaiah 53:5-6)
Let the blood Jesus Christ shed on the cross at Golgotha, the pains of His wounds and the curses He took up be fulfilled in you. Look at the cross for you and the Lamb, who bled and died for you. Lord, are You taking the painful lashes for me? Lord, are You taking up the cursed cross for me? Lord, are You dying cruelly for me? I have got life in both my body and soul by the suffering which is fulfilled through Christmas.
Lord, You alone are my life, Savior and the one who is worthy to receive my eternal praise and gratitude.
