Psalm 50:22-23

22 “Consider this, you who forget God, or I will tear you to pieces, with none to rescue: 23 He who sacrifices thank offerings honors me, and he prepares the way so that I may show him the salvation of God.” God created man by his love. God also created the heavens and the earth. Everything that he has created belongs to him. But people deny that God exists and they claim that mankind came about by evolution. They think that if they hold onto worldly things, they will live forever. But this is sin. Man was deceived by the devil to rebel against God. The Greek word for the devil is ‘Diablos’, which means ‘to separate’. God had created angels, but they denied their creator and were separated from God, and this separation meant that they would be punished to eternal suffering in hell. The devil did not acknowledge God and he did not keep his position, so he will face eternal destruction and death. People also are separated from God because of worldly things, but they don’t realize it. This is also sin and results in their destruction. Since the time of Adam, the devil has been working to prevent them from knowing the truth. “He who does what is sinful is of the devil, because the devil has been sinning from the beginning. The reason the Son of God appeared was to destroy the devil’s work.” 1 John 3:8. God wrote the Bible by the inspiration of the Holy Spirit, and in it he wrote that he had made everything in the heavens and on the earth and that everything is his (Gen 1:26-31). But people try to acquire things for themselves and their children, wealth and good living conditions until they die. God does not withhold anything from the good or from the wicked, but he lets them live by what he had created. But at the end of their lives, they will be judged on whether they had lived for themselves or for God. “Just as man is destined to die once, and after that to face judgment.” Heb 9:27. If man sins by the devil, he will go to hell with the devil. “You belong to your father, the devil, and you want to carry out your father’s desire. He was a murderer from the beginning, not holding to the truth, for there is no truth in him. When he lies, he speaks his native language, for he is a liar and the father of lies.” John 8:44. Knowing God is the greatest knowledge in the world that man can possess (Hosea 4:6, Proverbs 1:7). So we should be so thankful to God. He sent the Word of God to save us from going to hell for committing sin by the devil. God sent his only Son, Jesus Christ, to the world to die on the cross, shedding his blood to save us. Before his death, Jesus prayed so desperately in the Garden of Gethsemane that his sweat became like drops of blood. But the Father didn’t listen to his prayers and let his Son die on the cross instead of us sinners. We should give thanks for his grace for our entire lives. How can we ever repay him? We can only thank him and praise him and be loyal and obedient to him. We should live only for him. Hallelujah!
