Matthew 12:22~30

22 Then they brought him a demon-possessed man who was blind and mute, and Jesus healed him, so that he could both talk and see. 23 All the people were astonished and said, "Could this be the Son of David?" 24 But when the Pharisees heard this, they said, "It is only by Beelzebub, the prince of demons, that this fellow drives out demons." 25 Jesus knew their thoughts and said to them, "Every kingdom divided against itself will be ruined, and every city or household divided against itself will not stand. 26 If Satan drives out Satan, he is divided against himself. How then can his kingdom stand? 27 And if I drive out demons by Beelzebub, by whom do your people drive them out? So then, they will be your judges. 28 But if I drive out demons by the Spirit of God, then the kingdom of God has come upon you. 29 "Or again, how can anyone enter a strong man's house and carry off his possessions unless he first ties up the strong man? Then he can rob his house.30 "He who is not with me is against me, and he who does not gather with me scatters. God is Almighty. He can change all man's impossibilities into possibilities (Genesis 18:9~14). He really wanted to help man who was suffering in this world which was full of impossibilities. So He sent His Son Jesus Christ into this world so man can be saved (John 1:14). All of Jesus' ministry in this world was to solve man's suffering physically and spiritually. Finally, He died on the cross shedding His blood and clearly forgave man's sin. After He was raised from the dead and ascended into heaven, He sent the Holy Spirit to His disciples and so that they could solve all of man’s impossibilities on His behalf, just as He did. Jesus' disciples built the first church by the Holy Spirit (Acts 2:37~42) and showed many miraculous signs and wonders which accompany those who believe in Jesus anytime and anywhere (Mark 16:17~19). The crippled walked, the dead rose again and the evil spirit and many diseases were gone because the Lord worked with them (Mark 16:20). The devil, Satan and demons inflict suffering on man through sin both in the time of flesh and soul. But Satan never drives out Satan or the evil spirits (Mark 12:22~28). Only the Holy Spirit, in the name of Jesus, the absolute Word of God who is stronger than Satan, drives out the evil demons powerfully. At that moment, all of man’s impossibilities and sufferings disappear. It’s the ministry not only that Jesus, Jesus' disciples, the members of the first church did, but also that today's churches should do. Jesus and the Holy Spirit help man who is under lots of suffering without change (Hebrews 13:8). He uses those who are forgiven of their sin and saved by the working of Jesus' blood and are full of the Holy Spirit. He makes them reveal Jesus' life at any time. The Holy Spirit is almighty because He is God Himself. Therefore, believers can limitlessly perform miraculous signs like Jesus' disciples and the members of the first church when they are filled with the Holy Spirit and obey His wisdom, knowledge, faith, discernment and power. Dear brothers and sisters, Jesus who is the Word, became flesh and experienced man's suffering (Isaiah 53:5-6) and He drove out many demons which tortured man (Matthew 12:28). Faith is the power to be freed and saved from sin, the devil, Satan and the demons; it is also the power to live forever in heaven and the ministry which destroys man's enemy of the Lord (Mark 24:24; 1 Peter 5:7~9). My sinful desires can't save my soul (Romans 8:5~8; 12~15). The working of demons makes man follow his sinful desire and leads us to hell (John 8:44). Let's drive out the enemy by the Holy Spirit and in Jesus' name right away and be freed, be joyful and give thanks to God.
