Repent and Be Forgiven

Acts 2:37~41

God sent His one and only Son, Jesus Christ, into this world, but the Jews crucified and cursed Him. Jesus Christ is the Son of God who has no sin, so He was raised from the dead in three days. It both proved that He was innocent, and that the Jews had been incorrect in sentencing him to death, therefore they had to be punished. At that time, Peter, the best disciple of Jesus, was full of the Holy Spirit and he told the Jews to repent so that their sins would be forgiven (Acts 2:22~24, 36~40). The reason why Jesus Christ came to this world was to die on the cross to take all man’s sin. That is, to save us from sin, death and hell, which are the wages of sin. Anyone can cancel their curses, death and hell from sin if they know that they will perish because of their sin and they repent with Jesus’ blood. When you repent, you can be forgiven (Acts 3:19, 5:31, 8:22), be freed from curses (Jonah 3:10), be healed (Mark 9:1~3), receive life (Acts 11:18), receive the Holy Spirit (Acts 2:38), work for God (Acts 26:20) and go to heaven (Matthew 4:17). Those who repent and are forgiven by the working of Jesus’ blood in this life will be happy forever in heaven. But those who don’t repent will be punished forever with the devil in hell (John 3:16~18, 1 John 3:8, Matthew 25:41). You can choose eternal life in heaven or eternal destruction in hell. Both God and the working of the devil are calling to us. We can choose only one place to go. Those who realize their sin and repent are the ones who God calls. Those who are worthy of God’s calling repent and receive the gift of the Holy Spirit (Acts 2:38~39). Repentance is admitting our sin and believing that the innocent Jesus died instead of our sin, regardless of what we have done. At the moment we repent, we are set free from sin (Romans 8:1~2). The purpose of repenting is not only to stop the way we lived in the past, but also to decide to clearly follow Jesus Christ and be guided by the Holy Spirit (John 14:26. 16:13). Dear brothers and sisters, let’s confess that we are sinners before the working of the precious blood of Jesus Christ. Let’s win the victory by being led by the Holy Spirit and the Word of God until we go to heaven. This is the greatest success in our lives. If you don’t experience forgiveness through repentance and Jesus Christ’s blood, even though you say that you believe in Jesus, you are a miserable failure. Be holy by repenting from your sins through Jesus Christ and be sure that you are forgiven by the Holy Spirit. Repent and be set free from your suffering!
