What the sufferings of the LORD mean [ Matthew 27 :27-44 ]

God diagnosed the world: The world sinned and fell down into the eternal death. Death was unavoidable only if not for His own involvement; nobody in the world except Him could be in charge of settling down this, He concluded.

In order to solve the problem of the death of man God sent His loving One and Only Son, Jesus Christ into this world; so He found out the root of unrighteousness working in humankind.

What was that like then? It went by nature against righteous Jesus Christ; it sinned; and it was unrighteous.
But the world claimed the death of the righteous Jesus Christ for being guilty, which just proved its unrighteousness before God. (John 3:16-18)

Obviously He was indeed lack of what the world boasted for; of what the world loved. Instead He stood before the world hiding the power of the Son of God the Father. He was simply dealt with by the world unkindly and humbly; He was simply despised by it. (Isaiah 53:2-5)

"Surely he took up our infirmities and carried our sorrows, yet we considered him stricken by God, smitten by him, and afflicted. But he was pierced for our transgressions, he was crushed for our iniquities; the punishment that brought us peace was upon him, and by his wounds we are healed." Really the world despised Him; it hated Him, the great Son of God the almighty. But He died for the world, because He knew the weakness of man, the poverty of man, the pain of man and the death of man; because He knew He should not avoid His own sufferings for man. If not that He knew man was to be ruined forever and ever.

Who would know this? Who would really understand the meaning of His struggles in Gethsemane praying by Himself with tremendous anguish in Him, having thrown away His own honor in the kingdom of heaven, taking the flesh of humble human and the sins of ours? Who would know His sincere love for us? (Matthew 26:39) And who would know the pain of His true love harshly beaten in the lowest humbleness without help just in order to undertake the sins of man? (Matthew27: 28-31)

That even the disciples He loved so much fled ungratefully away off from Him; how bitter was the sufferings of Jesus Christ could we figure out righteously? Really He cast Himself down into this world of flesh. From His deep sympathy on His people troubled in flesh, He could not restrain Himself from showing His love so much as to restore the life of the ones already put to death (John 11:41-44).

With His sympathy on those dying of illness, He put His own body into the sufferings: He Himself was wounded, beaten and nailed so that through Him everybody should be healed. (1Peter 2:24)

He took on His own body the sins of those perishing permanently just on account of their own sins; He was put to condemnation; He was burdened with the cross on His exhausted shoulder along His way toward Golgotha, the place of crucifying irrevocable sinners. Then who would have known His truthful heart? Only men spoke ill about the Savior, paid no concern on but disposed Him like trash. (Isaiah 53:6)

Just on the spot of His troubles, of His death however nobody could advocate Jesus Christ. His disciples; so many men and women who had already got His graceful love; and Lazarus who had been revived from the death; anybody could never throw himself into the sufferings of Jesus Christ.

Who would truly in that time or presently dare to measure His love? Remember Jesus Christ was wounded, struck, mocked at and crucified to heal you, to deliver you. The world could not know Him but beat Him and killed Him; but His sufferings were really for my own; His death was for my own. On account of His troubles we have been blessed with His unchangeable mercy of deliverance from perish. He is our eternal Savior.

Let's welcome into our heart the Savoir, the Word who came into this world in flesh to be troubled just for our sake.
Let's rejoice with His love for us; be thankful in all our heart for His grace and mercy on us. Jesus Christ Himself was the very fruit of God's greatest love for humankind.

Let's keep in ourselves the brand of His sufferings and troubles; let's share with His blessings: The eternal healing and everlasting life in Jesus Christ.
