Matthew 8:14~17

14. When Jesus came into Peter's house, he saw Peter's mother-in-law lying in bed with a fever. 15. He touched her hand and the fever left her, and she got up and began to wait on him. 16. When evening came, many who were demon-possessed were brought to him, and he drove out the spirits with a word and healed all the sick. 17. This was to fulfill what was spoken through the prophet Isaiah: "He took up our infirmities and carried our diseases."

God is almighty. He sent Jesus Christ to the world to resolve the impossibility that the world cannot deal with and to express His love toward the human race. The entire life of Jesus Christ is the life of grace. He resolved many impossible problems and loves us both physically and spiritually.

The basic reason for all suffering is the curse from the devil’s work and sin (Genesis 3:17~19). We get poor, sick and live under physical and spiritual curses because of sin and the devil. In the world, no one is free from curses caused by the devil and sin. No civilization or technology can resolve them. God placed all problems of the curse on Jesus Christ so He could save the human race and give us happiness (Isaiah 53:5~6).

Jesus Christ took all pain and the curse of hell that was prepared for the human race in order to give us freedom (John 1:29). Jesus Christ completely fulfilled God’s prophecy through Isaiah by being crucified (Matthew 8:17; Mark 10:45).

Some people say that the Christian life is too difficult without knowing their spiritual condition. They do not know that their sin results in torture in hell and unavoidable curses. The worldly people never know that evil spirits make them commit sin to steal, kill and destroy their soul. They never know that the devil, our enemy, distresses their soul and body during in their lifetime.

 No matter what level of education, social position or money they have, all of them are doomed to fall into hell because of sin and the devil’s work. But none of them know what devils are. Jesus Christ knew every condition we have and bore all our pain. He resolved all the devil’s work, sin, curse and pain by being pierced, crushed, punished, wounded by whip and dying on the cross.

Therefore, we are freed from sin, disease and death by believing in Jesus (Romans 8:1~2; John 8:32). Therefore, believing in Jesus is not a burden for us but the eternal freedom from sin, curses, sickness and hell. Jesus Christ never gave a burden to anyone. He took away all our sin, disease, curses, pain and sufferings. He crushed our enemy, the devil, that distresses us and removed our problems. He gave us eternal life and sent us Holy Spirit to preserve our life and to guide us with truth and his words (John 14:16~18). He gave us His name so we can do everything by it. He gave His life also. What makes you feel burdensome? The work of the devil and evil spirits make you feel burdensome in your faith life. Jesus came to crush the devil’s work (1 John 3:8; Mark 1:35~39).

Dear Saints, Jesus Christ saved us from physical and spiritual destruction. Jesus Christ gave us eternal life in heaven and resolved all our sufferings by tearing His body and shedding His blood on the cross. Let’s thank Him. Let His suffering on cross be yours.

The sound of “Believing in Jesus” is proclaiming to our soul to be freed, happy and joy. For many were ignorant of their curses and pain, resulted by devil and sin, God founded the church and appointed Pastors with the Holy Spirit to guide and teach us. God teaches us to know our spiritual reality, to believe in Him and to be happy.

Dear saints, no matter what your problem is, God resolves them. Please lay down your problem and remove them. Don’t make Jesus’ suffering be in vain. Please be happy and free. Please thank Him. Jesus Christ has already resolved our problems 2000 years ago. Let’s Jesus’ work on the cross be fulfilled in you.
