Are you in trouble, then pray to the Lord

God is love. Therefore He liked to use His almighty power and knowledge so that He even gave out to us His One and Only Son Jesus Christ.

From His merciful grace He liked to promise anyone in trouble to answerer him. Just being purposed to help people from all those troubles of body and soul, Jesus was sent among us. So whoever wants to be met and touched by Him is just blessed. He came with that almighty power to be the end solution for the troubles in this world full of agony; He performed the core thing of Father’s love for people.

He met people who were spiritually tortured, physically diseased and mentally captured by demons. He even went down to the tomb to call the dead to revive from that death. He had to be dreadfully troubled, flogged, insulted and extremely cursed to die on the cross so that He could give the perfect and eternal solution for the human troubles.

But He defeated and rose from the death the third day and was taken into heaven. In the heavenly kingdom He sits at the right hand of the throne of God the Father as He works with the Holy Spirit and with the word in humans who pray to Him. (John 14:13-14) While on the earth He taught people to pray with whatever impossibilities. He is our belief. Therefore we eligibly go up to pray to God for any trouble coming up timelessly in our lives.

In today's text, it is said, "Is any one of you in trouble? He should pray." This means God is just ready to help those who pray in faith. It is also told, "Is any one of you sick? He should call the elders of the church to pray over him and anoint him with oil in the name of the Lord."

And it is affirmed, "And the prayer offered in faith will make the sick person well; the Lord will raise him up. If he has sinned, he will be forgiven." And it is requested, "Therefore confess your sins to each other and pray for each other so that you may be healed. The prayer of a righteous man is powerful and effective."

What is prayer? It is committing you into the hand of God with all the troubles impossible for you to deal with. Without faith however nobody prays. Because of three reasons they fail to pray. Firstly, the arrogance in them cause them consult to what they think is from themselves but not to what is from God.

Secondly, their faithless idea on God causes them to take the problem greater than God, in doubts: "Would He be ever able to or like to help me even though I have any trial of praying?"

Thirdly, their negligence on His almighty power and knowledge causes them to fail to get the idea on the true meaning of the prayer but the false misunderstanding of it as a kind of religious routines.

But the prayer is the true way to get our problems placed in the hand of God, a holy communication in which you can rightfully ask Him to practice His solid promise: "Ask and it will be given to you."

Let see Elijah who was a man like us. He prayed earnestly that it would not rain and it did not rain on the land for three and a half years. Again he prayed and the heavens gave rain, and the earth produced its crops. Prayer is what children ask His father, the right allowed to His children by their father who loved them and was voluntary to promise to give what His children ask Him. So don't hesitate but just exercise your right. Jesus not only promised but also showed people how to pray, how not to pray like hypocrites. He taught us to pray in detail words: "Our Father in heaven" The prayer He asked us to do would be surely undertaken by Him.

The Holy Spirit helps those who pray. He does signs and miracles to answer your faithful prayer. Faith is to hold onto Him to receive the promise. Have faith to use the guaranteed right from Him. Have this knowledge that He made for His own name His promise enough before man asked Him for that.

Therefore prayer is as solid as a farmer shall gather his harvest after sowing seeds into the good land. Prayer is like cash in hand payable for whatever you need at anytime. Trust and use it. When you breathe you live physically. When you pray, you live both spiritually and bodily.

Brothers and sisters, let's succeed in praying. Let's confess and sweep out all the sins which destroy our flesh and soul. Let's cast away all the diseases which break down our life. Now Christ Jesus seeks after those who come with troubles of body and soul to pray to Him in faithful desire for His promised merciful hand.
