Romans 8:1-2

God is Love. He continuously loves us and has mercy on us, even though we, created things, have done wrong. The reason that mankind was doomed to destruction was because of the law of sin and death which has separated us from God.

God determined to prevent our destruction, and to set us free from the punishment of hell. This is the grace of God for all mankind, for the wages of sin is death. Mankind is doomed to perish according to the requirement of the law, but Jesus Christ paid for the consequences of our sin and death by His precious blood(Ephesians 2:11-18). Whoever believes in the blood of Jesus Christ, can have eternal life and be set free from the law of sin and death in the truth, but whoever does not believe stands condemned already (John 8:31-32, 3:18).

Dear congregation! The grace of Jesus Christ lets us know about ourselves and gives us longing hearts for the time of our souls. Don’t think of yourself as not being worthy of His grace, because we are justified freely by his grace through the redemption that came by Christ Jesus.

Don’t be indifferent to His grace. Continue to work out your salvation with fear and trembling (Philippians 2:12). God let His Son die to redeem us from the desperate wages of our sin, moreover His Son laid down His life for us. Don’t ignore such a great salvation (Hebrews 2:1-4, 10:26-31).

The Holy Spirit keeps those who are saved by the blood of Jesus from their sinful natures and the devil. We should worship the Lord with thanksgiving and repentance. Our repentance is the deed by which we acknowledge His death, and it is the struggle for eternal life for those whose desire is to dwell with Him forever.

True repentance by the blood of Jesus is the greatest power to overcome judgment under the law of sin and death. Repentance brings us true freedom and the desire to receive the grace of Christ. Our faith lets us repent what we have done wrong before God as much as we acknowledge the blood of Christ. Our repentance sets us free from the condemnation of the law of sin and death.
