Hebrews 2:1-4

God lives from everlasting to everlasting. He is always with us by His invisible Spirit (John 14:16-20). God lives by His almighty and all-knowing Word. “For the Word of God is living and active. Sharper than any double-edged sword, it penetrates even to dividing soul and spirit, joints and marrow; it judges the thoughts and attitudes of the heart” (Heb 4:12-13).

God has fulfilled His promised Words for us, whilst we are just His mere created beings, for His Word is valid forever. In the time of the Old Testament, God had given us the law spoken through angels to serve Him. For if the message spoken by angels was binding, and every violation and disobedience received its just punishment (Heb 2:2).

On the contrary, for the Gospel has been done by Jesus Christ, it has been testified by what Jesus had said. God, therefore, said to us, we should believe in the work of Jesus which had been accomplished by His Son and experience and confirm it by the Holy Spirit. “God also testified to it by signs, wonders and various miracles, and gifts of the Holy Spirit distributed according to his will” (Heb 2:4).

If you ignore the Gospel accomplished by Jesus Christ, you will never escape the punishment of sin, curses and Hell. God works for those who have believed in the Gospel with a true confirmation and have been marked with a seal by the Holy Spirit. Moreover, there must be confirmation to those who believe and possess the Gospel.

Let us be the witnesses of the gospel of Jesus Christ by the Spirit. ”But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit comes on you; and you will be my witnesses in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the ends of the earth (Acts 1:8)”.

The Gospel preached by the Holy Spirit will win a great number of souls, for it makes people repent and accept the message with the great and absolute power of the Spirit (Acts 2:38-41). People in the Old Testament had kept the law with fear, but there is no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus, because through Him, they have been set free from the law of sin and death (Rom 8:1-2, John 8;31-32). “We became the children of God, Now if we are children, then we are heirs--heirs of God and co-heirs with Christ, if indeed we share in his sufferings in order that we may also share in his glory” (Rom 8:16-17). If you believed in the Gospel and have the word of God, you would see the glory of God (John 11:40).

The Gospel saves us from our sins, curses, death and Hell, and lets us be set us free by the Spirit. We should experience and own the great promise made by Christ Jesus (John 3:16). Let us experience the Gospel of this great salvation given through the Holy Spirit.
