True Repentance

Luke 7:36-50

God is love and Jesus, His only begotten Son, is also love. He came to this world and came close to sinners from whom others turned their heads, like prostitutes and tax collectors. Jesus Christ came here to give His life as a ransom for anyone who confesses that they are a sinner. “For even the Son of Man did not come to be served, but to serve, and to give his life as a ransom for many." Mark 10:45. He came here to set people free who face impossibilities. Jesus Christ is the Savior of anyone who seeks Him, and He will deliver them from the despair of hell and give them peace and happiness.

In today’s Scripture, a woman who had lived a sinful life brought an alabaster jar of perfume to Jesus .She began to wet his feet with her tears and she wiped them with her hair. Then she kissed them and poured perfume on them. Nobody associated with her because she was the worst of sinners. A Pharisee was wondering why Jesus allowed her to do this. Jesus knew his thoughts and said, “Therefore, I tell you, her many sins have been forgiven--for she loved much. But he who has been forgiven little loves little." Then Jesus said to her, "Your sins are forgiven." Luke7:47-48.

He solved the sin of the woman at once, even though she was despised and ignored by everyone. The more people are forgiven, the more they may love Jesus. Therefore we know that where sin increased, grace increased all the more. We were created in the image and likeness of God, and we received grace to live with God forever. We were also given the Name of Jesus as our inheritance.

In his Name we can drive out demons and heal the sick and we can even receive whatever we ask for. This is the absolute right for us as the children of God. There is only one way for us to be able to receive this grace. By the death of Jesus on the cross for us who were doomed to perish because of our sins. Anyone who betrays the work of the blood of Jesus Christ, is unable to be the children of God and to live with Him forever. The death of Jesus on the cross was such extreme pain, contempt and suffering that we wouldn’t have been able to bear it. Ironically, this is the pinnacle of the love of Christ who saved us from sin and hell. Whoever admits that they are a sinner, should look upon Jesus’ suffering on the cross. Jesus repaid all the debt of our sins. If you want to solve your sin which is the cause of both spiritual and physical destruction should repent from what you have done wrong. You should repent as much as Jesus had suffered on the cross.

Repentance is the best expression of our faith conscience which we can do. We should repent to live. It’s not merely having a guilty conscience or repenting on a moral level; but it is pouring out your sins before God in remembrance of how much suffered to pay for you on the cross. Jesus is the only one who only can deal with us sinners. He came to solve the problems of people who are suppressed by impossibilities, so when He began His public ministry He cried out, “Repent, for the kingdom of heaven is near.” Matthew 4:17.

Repentance is the will to live and the desire to possess heaven and it’s the requirement for the life of Jesus. He gave His life as a ransom for those whom repent. Therefore if you have the life of Jesus, you will be free forever. This grace makes you faithful to the Lord, even to the point of death. You are unable to forsake Him, but rather you will be humble before Him. This is the conscience of those who receive grace.

Let us repent! Let us acquire the life of Jesus Christ! Let us be cleansed by the work of the suffering of the cross! Let us exchange our sins with the life of Christ and give thanks! Be faithful! Let us give ourselves!
