I stand at the foot of a vast mountain range, where only birds pass by. The wind brushes against my cheek, and hopelessness overwhelms my mind, filled with desolation. Why did the Lord appoint me, who couldn’t do anything? I see that He appointed me because I can’t do it on my own. It’s because I can’t do it by my own power. It’s because I can do it by the power of the Lord. Now, here I stand, where the Lord has made me stand. Not by my own power, but by the power and strength given by the Lord.
