Azaleas in bloom on the banks of the river are a wonderful sight, set against the background of the river. Their bare branches have withstood the violent snow and wind all through the winter. Then they show their secret: allowing what was hidden inside to bloom to welcome spring. They attract the public gaze, flowering and losing their flowers next to the river, sharing their beauty with all passers-by. In the storms of ordeal and suffering, I will keep the mind that resolutely longs for the Lord, bringing that mind to flower with the faith of the on the day of the Lord’s coming.
