A bird flying in the sky along a serene river folds his tired wings and sits on the prow. He peeks under his wing, looking around for a while, before flying on his way. In the same way, we are to live as strangers in the world, staying in the flesh for a moment before returning to our eternal home: Heaven, where the Lord is… “Dear friends, I urge you, as aliens and strangers in the world, to abstain from sinful desires, which war against your soul.” (1 Peter 2:11)
