Green trees that previously dazzled us now shed their leaves helplessly.  This is the trees’ way of enduring the cold winter, trusting that Spring will come again.  Similarly, our lives are coming to an end; the time when we enjoy, with thanks, everything that God gives us.  We are running towards Heaven, where we can enter only by the blood of Jesus.  Our focus is on that everlastingly happy place, even while we bear a heavy wind here on Earth.
