We can see God when we look at all things on the earth since God created all things. In Romans 1:20, “For since the creation of the world God’s invisible qualities-his eternal power and divine nature- have been clearly seen, being understood from what has been made, so that men are without excuse.” We can see God more through the life of Jesus Christ who came in the flesh to us in human history.
When Jesus came to the earth, He performed wonders, signs, and miracles so the lame walked, the blind saw, and the leprous cleansed. The disciples of Jesus witnessed the remarkable events with their own eyes.
But the time they truly got to know God was when the Holy Spirit came upon them when they gathered in an upper room and prayed hard after Jesus was raised from the dead and taken into heaven. Then, they experienced an amazing love for the first time that God gave the Only Son and let Him die on the Cross shedding blood in order to forgive the sins of mankind.
Since then, the disciples have risked their lives to spread the good news to win souls who are doomed to death. Likewise, when you are full of power and the ability to love your neighbors, you can fully tell the love of God.
The more you preach the gospel since you love your neighbor so that they can be freed from the sins, death and the pain in hell, the more you can realize and experience the love of God. Therefore, love is the Character of God that only those who love others can have.
“Dear friends, let us love one another, for love comes from God. Everyone who loves has been born of God and knows God. Whoever does not love does not know God, because God is love.” (1John 4:7-8)
