[Shepherding the sheep with One heart] A Person in the Lord's Attention

  • 2017.01.12 17:45

“He who does what is sinful is of the devil, because the devil has been sinning from the beginning. The reason the Son of God appeared was to destroy the devil's work.” (1 John 3:8)

This Bible verse tells us that he who commits sin can never be with the Lord. Whoever belongs to the Lord hates sin, just as the Lord hates sin. However, if we commit sin – our enemy – and tolerate it, we will perish because of our sin.

As soon as Jesus took up our sin instead of us and died on the cross, shedding His blood, the wall of sin that prevented us from going to God fell. The Son of God, Jesus, bore our sin. We believe this, so we have received the love of God. This is of the utmost importance: whether God will abandon us because we have committed unrighteous acts, or whether we will receive the Lord's love and care because we have pursued righteousness.  If you want to live in this world, and if you want to be loved by God while you live in this world – and if you want to go to Heaven in the time of your soul, you must live the life of Jesus by keeping the word of God.

Jesus is the Son of God, He is the Word of God, He is life. Because the Son of God has shed His blood, we human beings, who perish because of sin, have everlasting life. Whoever has the word of grace of the Lord is filled with the life of God. Those who have the life of the Lord are cared for by the Lord.

This world bites, steals, and damages.  So many people are troubled.
But the Lord wants to give us abundant eternal life.  He does not want anyone to leave Him and go to hell.

Even those who defy, challenge, and persecute the Lord can be saved if they repent of their sins and confess Jesus as their Savior.  Christianity has the goal of saving souls.

Our lives must be remembered by the Lord. God's attention is the greatest blessing to mankind.
