[Shepherding the sheep with One heart ] Pray continually

Few people I’ve ever met asked me to pray together. Many people have asked me to have a meal together since they know a good place to eat. They said let’s go sightseeing, there is a nice place to see. But I didn’t meet any people who earnestly prayed as Jesus prayed in the garden of Gethsemane. In spite of that, I continue to urge them to pray.

What is prayer? We pray to live with help of God because we can’t live on our own. We are blessed since there is a way to make the impossible possible. But why do you not pray although you have such a blessing? It’s because your flesh is so weak. We have to keep on praying even if everything else fails.

Once you start to pray, you have strength and listen to the sermon at the service even though you are tired and hard to pray. That means your spirit is awake. The problem is how to start prayer. Our flesh doesn’t want to pray.

But when you overcome the fatigue and tiredness, God gives you strength to pray after that. Do your best until that moment you start to pray. You can pray with the help of God kneeling down before God. Starting to pray is all you have to do and after that, God gives strength.

The Bible says “Pray continually. (1 Thessalonians 5:17) Don’t you feel the mind of Jesus who says “Be a good believer”, in season and out of season? God knows we can’t live without prayer and without the help of God because we are weak so God tells us to pray.
