[Shepherding the sheep with One heart] Impatience is the stumbling block of answers from God

  • 2023.11.06 13:53

Daniel earnestly prayed to God because the Israelites were about to suffer a great disaster. However, he could not receive the prayer answer even though the expected time of answer came. The answer was delayed because the Devil blocked the way of it, carried by angels of the Lord. Nevertheless, Daniel had faith and waited for the answer. Then, Michael, one of the chief angels, came down and fought against the Devil to help the angels go to Daniel. So Daniel received the answer in 21 days. If he stopped waiting impatiently, he wouldn’t receive the answer. Jesus said that you should trust that your prayer would be answered. “Therefore I tell you, whatever, you ask for in prayer, believe that you have received it, and it will be yours (Mark11:24).” This scripture says that your prayer will be answered so do not be impatient. But we easily get satisfied that we did prayer. We don’t really believe that our prayers will be answered.

If you believe and pray, you shall not give up. The answer for prayer will come to only those who wait until the prayer is answered. You shouldn’t be impatient and miss the opportunity to receive answers. After sowing the seeds, a farmer diligently grows crops trusting that he will harvest the crops in autumn. Likewise, after prayer, we should harvest crops of answers not giving up till the right time.

Therefore, we have to ask God for help till the prayer is answered. God wants to fulfill his will and providence toward us through the answer to prayer. Then, if we are impatient after praying, we can’t receive a blessing of answers. The impatience causes you to give up the precious thing that will be given from God. Those who are with faith are not impatient but wait for God to answer their prayer.
