“At one time we too were foolish, disobedient, deceived and enslaved by all kinds of passions and pleasures. We lived in malice and envy, being hated and hating one another. But when the kindness and love of God out Savior appeared, he saved us, not because of righteous things we had done, but because of his mercy. He saved us through the washing of rebirth and renewal by the Holy Spirit,“(Titus 3:3-5) We, human beings, are destined to eternal destruction both physically and spiritually by chasing after physical pleasure and satisfying the bodily desire. God had pity on us and washed our sins by the blood of Jesus Christ shed on the Cross so that we can be born again by the Holy Spirit. God loves us as much as killing His one and only Son nailing on the cross, to save us, for we are destined to fall in to the hell by wage of our sin. However, if we betray God and follow only the physical pleasure, God will be broken hearted. For we were loved by God, we should overcome every possible situation that distract us to step in following the bodily pleasure. We should remember the grace that the Lord gave and be satisfied by Him alone. What makes us to be satisfied by the Lord alone? He is the Creator, the Absolute being, and the Savior. We should know this and accept the Holy Spirit, the Almighty, in our heart. Then we would own the most valuable treasures, much better than the whole world. When the Lord became our bridegroom and we got to be a bride of the Lord, nothing in the world could please us any more than Him. We have to know that the Lord is our bridegroom whom we will serve forever. So, we should be satisfied with the Lord alone. Then, we will become true brides of the Lord. Let’s overcome every possible temptation that get us be hooked to worldly pleasure and protect ourselves to be overwhelmed by the spiritual joy since we serve the Lord, our bridegroom who dwells in us.
