[Shepherding the sheep with One heart] The Blessing of the godly

God always stands with the godly and gives them all things belong to godliness. Therefore, godliness is like a vessel for blessings, granted by God. The Bible says “His divine power has given us everything we need for a godly life through our knowledge of him who called us by his own glory and goodness.” (2Peter 1:3) This means God provides everything, withholding nothing, to those who please God, believe in him, put trust in him and honor God, doing His works. Those who belong to godliness receive amazing blessings from Him. Let’s take a look at Job in the Bible. His close friends, the Sabeans and the Chaldeans, suddenly turned into a robbers that attacked and killed his servants as well as stealing his possessions in an instant. Moreover, He lost all of 10 children, whom nothing in the world could replace, all at once through a natural disaster. Even though all the sufferings actually came from the work of Satan, Job misunderstood that they came from God. Even so, Job didn’t blame God. When Job took a piece of broken pottery and scraped himself with it sitting among the ashes, his wife said to him, “Are you still maintaining your integrity? Curse God and die!”. But he didn’t sin against God with his lips. Job trusted in God even in the worst situation that he couldn’t bear as a human being. At the end of the book of Job, he was doubly blessed as result of purely revering God and staying godly before Him until the end. God told us to pursue godliness in order to bless us. “But you, man of God, flee from all this, and pursue righteousness, godliness, faith, love, endurance and gentleness.”(1Timothy 6:11) God chooses godly people and meets with them. He blesses them and answers their prayer. We should honor God and remain godly until the very end.
