[Shepherding the sheep with One heart] Sexual immorality that leads you to death

  • 2026.10.02 12:54
God drowned ungodly people in the days of Noah with a flood. He also judged the people of Sodom and Gomorrah with fire. Especially, it is said that “Sodom and Gomorrah were destroyed by the depraved conduct of the lawless (2 Peter 2:7)" Sexual immorality is the representative ungodly behaviors.

God despises sexual immoralities. The sexual corruption is the worst among the widespread corruptions in the world today. Through the corruption, spouses have affairs out of marriage causing the divorce rate in our country become quite high. The rate shows how we have been corrupted.

The Bible says “At the beginning the Creator made them male and female, and said, 'For this reason a man will leave his father and mother and be united to his wife, and the two will become one flesh'? So they are no longer two, but one. Therefore what God has joined together, let man not separate (Matthew 19:4-6)”

However, if we neglect God's word and falls into sexual immorality, we won't find way for living. Being against God's word and falling into sexual immorality shall ruin ourselves. The ungodly people rebel against God's word and end up being destroyed.

To receive His grace, we should keep God's word faithfully and be godly. No matter what happens, we should not allow the sexual immorality work on us with the fleshly desires. We should let the Holy Spirit dwells within us, love Him fervently, and become godly fearing the Lord only.

Regardless of the injustices in this world, we must remain godly and follow the Lord alone. The Lord said, “Enter by the narrow gate; for wide is the gate and broad is the way that leads to destruction, and there are many who go in by it. Because narrow is the gate and difficult is the way which leads to life, and there are few who find it (Matthew 7:13–14)”. Even if all 8.2 billion people on Earth go unjust, we shall remain godly and follow only the Lord.
