There are many Christians who don’t pray in the early morning. Why don’t they pray in the early morning? It’s because they choose to sleep for their flesh. That’s why they don’t pray. Sleeping in the early morning is one of the physical desires. To win a victory for the spiritual life, you should try to meet the demands of the Holy Spirit and your own spirit rather than small demands of your flesh. (Romans 8:12-13) Experiencing that the demands of the flesh are met is sweet to the flesh. However, when the demands of your spirit are met by the Holy Spirit, your spirit is even happier. What is true happiness? Even though there is something to interrupt your spiritual life, your will leading a life of faith shouldn’t be broken. The will to win a victory shouldn’t be taken over because the flesh is for a fleeting moment but the spirit lives forever. I hope you will always experience everlasting happiness in your life time. Don’t let your portion be taken. Whose portion is the early morning prayer? It is yours. Preaching the gospel is yours. Working for the Lord is yours. Prayer is yours. Singing praise to God is yours. Giving thanks is yours. All of faith and obedience are yours. Only those who have experience of having benefit by taking their portion takes their portion to the end. Those who have experienced that they can’t do anything without the Lord’s help and the work of the Holy Spirit have no choice but to pray. It’s because they have experience that they can’t do anything without the Lord’s help and the work of the Holy Spirit. Those who have spiritual experience try to have Godly experience by praying continually because they know that they must have spiritual experience.
